Hump Cabins
We prefer 8086 over 8088 due to the total forward view we had. The noise from the centrum was awful. It went on until 12:15 AM or later. We had a 5 AM alarm most mornings. Each night I had to call Guest Services to have the fire door closed. Even then, we could hear the music and feel the bass beat. The balcony was large, about 16' x 10' with a curve on the forward edge. The balcony easily held 2 loungers, 2 chairs and a table. In the future, a ship like the Seranade, which uses the Centrum as the entertainment center of the ship, would find me far from the hump cabins.

We heard many people speak of the general decline in service on this cruise. It reminded me of a Carnival party cruise. We had good service in the main Dining Room. We were generally pleased with the food in the main Dining Room. In the Windjammer, service was poor the 3 times we attempted to eat there. We purchased the $20/day beverage package. Service was good in the Schooner Bar and at Lattitudes. I will not say where it was poor or where the drinks were weak. We felt that our service was generally less when bartenders saw we had the beverage packages.
The beds were not as comfortable as they have been in the past. Our pillows were very thin. We had good service from our cabin attendant....still, a black parmant mark on our sheets remained there all 12 nights!! Although we are Loyal to Royal, we felt that Royal was not Loyal. Had this been our first RCCL cruise, our next cruise would not be with RCCL.

We purchased 3PM tickets to go inside La Sagrada Familia after the Thursday, 1/2 day Montserrat tour. BDT dropped us off at La Sagrada. We toured with an audio tape and took a taxi back to our hotel..remember to have the hotel address written down to give to the cab driver. Err...we ended up taking the subway back. That was some experience!! If BDT drops you off, notify them in advance.
